This digital edition is based on the edition of the documents contained in Petrus de Vinea (Pier della Vigna), Epistolary, ed. A. Boccia, E. D’Angelo, T. De Angelis, F. Delle Donne, R. Gamberini. Ariano Irpino–Soveria Mannelli, 2014. It represents the outcome of an experimental project aimed at exploring the possibility of combining the TEI-XML markup language with Linked Open Data (LOD) for the creation of open-access semantic databases.
The project was developed starting from the Aracne framework, created by Dr Alfredo Cosco. The implementation of LOD, primarily oriented towards Wikidata, benefited from the technical contribution of Dr Alessandro De Troia.
The edition is coordinated with the project ALIM (Archivio della Latinità Italiana del Medioevo) .
